Education Avalanche Course Level 1 : Compact update for freerider with ski or snowboard (1 day)Update for experienced freeriders. This course is for people with a good off-piste experience (ski or snowboard). Highlight You realize already Freeride routes and wish to deepen your knowledge regarding avalanche danger. In this course you learn the bases for an independent evaluation of the avalanche danger. We keep the theories short and concise, in order to have more time for the practice-oriented work. Contents and objectives of course:
- Knowledge of the phenomenon of snow plates
- Identification of the danger of snow plates
- Introduction of the last tendencies as regards avalanche risk management
- Application of theoretical knowledge in the field
- Structured practical application of the various tools for evaluation
- Route choice, tactic of descent
- Organization of the rescue in the event of avalanche
The objective of the course is to very clearly recognize the very dangerous avalanche situations and those which are sure. To know the rules of behavior in the event of risk of avalanche. After this course, you have last knowledge as regards risk management of avalanche.
Requirements:
Basic course avalanche or good basic knowledge as regards avalanche, planning of routes and rescue. Autonomous realization of freeride ski under good conditions. Age min 16 years.
