With their knowledge and experience, they can securely carry on expeditions and tours. The success and the security of our activities is our priority.
While being true connoisseurs of their region, BeMountain guides also adhere to the
BeMountain Charter , which garantees quality.
The gear used is thoroughly controled, as is the group pharmacy. A portable hyperbaric chamber is also available for certain expeditions. Liaising with local representatives, political watch is ongoing. Itineraries are adapted if necessary.
Activities According to your Needs
What BeMountain offers caters to the different needs of men, women, children and families. The ratio of participants per guide is determined by the difficulties and the objectives of the activity. Expeditions are tested for the most part, except expeditions on virgin peaks.
Conviviality is preferred to anonymity. BeMountain carefully selects guides and assistant guides who believe in the BeMountain way of doing business.
Fair Prices
All prices are clearly indicated so that the participant can see what exactly he is paying for and what is included (and not included).
The detailed program indicates the possible price discounts, in particular discounts for early registrations. The more the registration is sent in advance, the less the price is high: 3% discount for a registration from 1 to 3 months before the departure; 6% for a registration more than 3 months before the departure.
Prices are based upon official pricing used in major peaks and tours for the region in which the tour or expedition is taking place. They are calculated upon the usual departure place. These can be revised if the clients chooses another starting point. In doubt, the pricing from the guide's local bureau will be applied.
Starting in 2005, the daily fare is CHF 450.- / EUR 290.-. This daily fare can vary depending on the length of the tour, difficulty level, mountain conditions, number of participants and period of the year and can go from CHF 450.- to CHF 860.- or Euro 290.- to Euro 1360.-
For other questions, general conditions for mountain Guides apply here, especially regarding the hiring of the guide, interruption of the expedition due to bad weather, disrespect of a promise made by a client or questions related to the travelling time for a guide. The client is responsible for those charges.
Transparency
Mountain guides post on BeMountain.com detailed tour, course and trip programs. For each activity, general and practical information is included, as well as a step-by-step activity guide and complete information about the price, what it includes and what it does not as well as all the administrative questions relatied to the activity.
BeMountain guides define clearly the nature of their tours, courses and trips as well as their difficulty level and will inform you when newer programs have not been extensively tested. Guides inform participants as soon as possible about any changes in the program (weather, conditions, political situations, strikes, etc.).
BeMountain helps mountain professionals, wherever they are, to network, thanks to recent technological advances. BeMountain posts BeMountain guides' programs until registration, but does not take on any financial transaction related to their programs and other services offered by them. Payment related to the registration and participation for any activities offered by a BeMountain guide is agreed between the guide and the client.

Guides member of BeMountain measure the impact tourism has on mountains and on the visited populations, but also the impact it has on the environment. BeMountain, its guides and local partners endorse an ethical vision that prefers « cleaner » methods and light logistics. For instance, BeMountain does not use oxygen tanks, even on the highest peaks. We depart from camps leaving minimum trace. The goal is to leave Earth as a natural and clean playground for future generations.
