A single experiment: ski-moutaineering in the largest Alps glacier sector
Highlight Jungfrau and Aletsch suroundings are registered since December 13th, 2001 at the UNESCO world heritage. It is without any doubt a non common measurement experiment, ski mountaineering in the largest Alps glacier sector and the highest summits of Bernese Oberland with a night stay in the new Finsteraarhorn hut.
Description:
Monday (Tuesday): Meeting at 7:00 a.m. at Grindelwald Grund station. Gear check, short presentation of the race and rise with the train at 7:23 towards Jungfraujoch, 3454m (11,332 ft). Climb towards Oberen Möbchsjoch, 3629 m (11,906 ft), short descent on Ewig snowfield and gone up to Trugberg, 3880m (12,730 ft), then final descent by the glacier towards Konkordiaplatz and then towards the Konkordia hut, 2850 m (9,350 ft). Ascent duration approx. 5 hours
Tuesday (Wednesday): Ascent to the High Grünhorn, 4043 m (13,264 ft), since there crossing toward Grünegghorn or by Ewig snowfield. Descent toward the hut. Gone up duration approx. 5 hours
Wednesday (Thursday): Ascent by Ewig snowfield in the High Fiescherhorn, 4048 m (13,281 ft) direction. Descente by The Valais Fiescherim towards Finsteraarhorn hut, 3048 m (10,000 ft). Gone up duration approx. 5 hours
Thursday (Friday): Highlight of the week with the Finsteraarhorn, 4273 m (14,019 ft), ascent by Hugisattel. Descent by the same way toward the hut. Ascent duration approx. 6 hours
Friday (Saturday): Last course with Galmilücke, 3293 m (10,804 ft), and then with Heizwächte, 3086 m (10,125 ft) ascent. Descente via the Galmihorn hut towards Münster. Course closing and return back home. Ascent duration approx. 3 to 4 hours.
Included in the price:
Nights as well as half-board for the duration of the stay, guide fees. The transport and ski lifts costs are not included, as well as the room supplement for Alpine Club non-members.

Caution! Thank you to begin as soon as possible training for this demanding week which proceeds each day with more than 4000 meters of altitude and whose daily ascent time is on average from 4 to 6 hours
