Via Ferrata in the Brenta Dolomites

Sunday: Appointment at 8:00 at Chur's station (Public transport schedules will be addressed to you with the confirmation). Travel together with the mountaineering school bus by the Bernina pass and the Tonal pass towards Madonna di Campiglio and then from the parking to Rifugio Vallesinella, 1513 m (4,964 ft). Ascent by Rifugio Casinei to Rifugio Tuckett E Stella, 2272 m (7,454 ft).
Walking time approx. 2 hours 30.
Monday: We begin this week with a first highlight, by borrowing Sentiero delle Bochette Alte from Bocca di Tucket, 2648 m (8,688 ft), to Bocca degli Armi, 2749 m (9,019 ft). From Garabari, we have the possibility to ascent the Cima Brenta, 3151 m (10,338 ft). Later, descent from Bocca degli Armi to Rifugio Alimonta, 2580 m (8,465 ft).
Total walking time approx. 8 to 9 hours.
Tuesday: This day, we climb among the impressive rock formations of Brenta, amongst other things in the middle of the famous Guglia di Brenta. Our way drive us from Bocca degli Armi, 2749 m (9,019 ft), via Bochette Centrale to Rifugio Pedrotti, 2483 m (8,146 ft).

Wednesday: While following the oldest Brenta’s via ferrata by Sentiero dell' ideal and Sentiero Brentari, we cross, sometimes over the glacier, the southern part of Brenta. We have the opportunity to make the ascent of the highest summit in the Brenta massive, Cima Tosa, 3173 m (10,410 ft). Descent by Sentiero Brentari on Rifugio Agostini, 2410 m (7,907 ft).
Total walking time approx. 6 hours.
Thursday: With its 200 m cliff with scales, Sentiero Ettore offers marvellous moments of pleasure on this route in the middle of Brenta. After having crossed Bocca dei Had Denti, 2859 m (9,380 ft), we go down on Rifugio XII Apostoli, 2489 m (8,166 ft).
Total walking time approx. 4 hours.
Friday: A last ascent involves us to the hut Bocca dei Camosci, 2784 m (9,134 ft). Then, we go down by Vedretta dei Camosci and Sentiero Martinazzi to Rifugio Brentei, 2182 m (7,159 ft). A this place, we will perhaps meet the Brenta’s legend, Bruno Detassis, initiator of this superb route. Descent on the valley and return together with the mountaineering school bus on Chur.

Included in the price:
Including the night as well as half-board for the duration of the stay, the tea for the courses, the guide’s fees and expenses and the loan of material. The transport and ski lifts costs are not included.
We are lodged in the Italian Alpine Club high guarded huts. These structures are fed out with running water, but don’t have showers.
Thank you for bringing personal snacks and lunches for 6 days.
Equipment: Climbing or trekking shoes, backpack, mountain or trekking jacket and pants, harness, helmet, leather gloves (gloves of work or gardening), warm clothing, sunglasses, sun lotion, hat, gloves, gourd or Thermos bottle, lunch bag, clothing of replacement, silk sleeping bag, beauty case, eventually a camera, Alpine Club member card, passport or identity card, half-tax transport subscription, Euros.
Material of loan: The technical material (such as harness, helmet, safety straps, etc) can be lent, thank you to specify it at the time of the inscription.
