High mountaineering week-end - Tödi
Tödi is the highest Glarus Alps summit with 3614m
Highlight Located between Glaris and Grisons cantons, Tödi offers one of the most beautiful estival high mountaineering course. The possible ascent in one weekend makes it optimal! In 1863 already, Tödi area is used as experimental ground for the Swiss Alpine Club (lately created) first ascents. Still today, this summit is one of the Swiss Alps great names.
Saturday: Appointment at 13:00 at Trun station. Transfer with the mountaineering school bus to Alp da Schlans Sut, 1758 m (5,768 ft). Easy gone up by Alp da Punteglias slopes to Punteglias hut, 2311 m (7,582 ft). Common diner and course presentation.
Ascent duration approx. 3 hours.
Sunday: From the hut, ascent by Fuorcla Punteglias, 2814 m (9,232 ft), then by Glatscher da Gliems glacier to Porta da Gliems, 3260 m (10,696 ft). Rise involves us in an air climbing passage equipped with fixed rope. Few meters before Porta, we join Biferten firn, then without many difficulties we reach Tödi top, 3614 m (11,857 ft). Same way descent to the hut then towards Alp da Schlans.
Ascent duration approx. 6 hours, total walking duration approx. 10 to 11 hours.
Included in the price:
Night as well as half-board for stay duration, guide fees and expenses, gear loan. Transport costs are not included.
