The highest austrian summit: Grossvenediger - Grossglockner
Pure pleasure alpine courses in the middle of the High Tauern Austrian national park
Highlight An extremely delightful alpine courses week in the high Tauern national park . Grossvenediger and Grossglockner, 3798 m the highest mountain of Austria, will inspire us! Not to forgot: the excellent food in the huts and the hospitality at all: -)
Sunday: Meeting at 8:35 at Sargans station. Travel with the mountaineering school bus by Innsbruck - Kitzbühel - Mittersill towards Prägaten in Virgental. From Streden parking,1403m (4,603 ft), we follow the way above Stoanalm in the splendid Maurertal valley to reach Essener-Rostocker hut, 2208 m (7,244 ft).

Monday: Ascent of the Hohen westlichen Simonyspitze 3488 m (11,444 ft). By Simonykees to 3058 m (10,033 ft), we reach the Reggentörl pass where we can join the summit by Umbalkees glacier. One of the highest Tauern summits.
Ascent approx. 5 hours,total walking time approx. 9 to 10 hours
Tuesday: Change of hut. By Schweriner way we reach Türmljoch, 2790 m (9,154 ft), the hut Johanni, 2121m (6,959 ft), from where the rise to Deffreggerhaus starts, 2962 m (9,718 ft) the bags can be carrying with ski lifts request).
Ascent approx. 5 hours, total walking time between 6 and 7 hours.
Wednesday: This day is devoted to the ascent of one of the highest summits in the High Tauern national park, Grossvenediger, 3674 m (12,054 ft). The route goes by Rainerkees glacier and Oberste Schlattenkees. Descent by the same way and return to Johannis hut.
Ascent approx. 3 hours, total walking time approx. 6 to 7 hours
Thursday: Descent from Johannis towards Streden hut, transfert with the bus towards Kals am Grossglockner and then towards Lucknerhaus im Ködnitztal, 1920 m (6,299 ft), from where the rise to Erzherzog-Johann hut (Adlersruhe) 3451 m (11,322 ft) starts. Erzherzog-Johann is the highest hut of Austria and constitutes the ideal starting point for the Grossglockner ascent.
Walking time approx. 6 hours.
Friday: This day is devoted to the highlight of the week with the ascent of the highest summit of Austria: Grossglockner, 3798 m (12,461 ft). The way leaves the hut towards a snow covered steep slope, Glocknerleitl, then an air climbing leads us until Glocknerscharte and finally we start the final ascent to the top. Descent by the same way and return to the hut then to Lucknerhaus. Return travel to Sargans and individual return home.
Ascent approx. 2 hours, total walking time approx. 7 hours.
Included in the price:
Including the night as well as half-board for the duration of the stay, the tea for the courses, the fees and expenses of the guide and the loan of material.
The transport costs are not included as well as the costs of the ski lifts. The transport costs rise to 220.00 CHF per person for the way from Sargans/return and are included in the invoice. (Included gasoline, highway tickets, etc)
